Where is Your Favourite Gin Actually Made?
In an industry crowded with brands claiming authenticity, Manchester Gin, Tarquin’s Cornish Gin, Masons of Yorkshire and Brighton Gin are speaking out in support of genuine craftsmanship, and inviting consumers to go beyond the label to discover the distilleries at the heart of their favourite spirits. #ActuallyMadeIn
What is Actually Made In?
We’re always asked – where do you actually make it? Where is it actually made? Do you actually own a still? We understand why you are asking that, there is a lot of smoke and mirrors in this industry and people are naturally curious. These questions sparked an idea; Actually Made In.
In an industry crowded with brands claiming authenticity, ‘Actually Made In’ is our way of speaking out in support of genuine craftsmanship, and inviting consumers to go beyond the label to discover the distilleries at the heart of their favourite spirits, as well as inviting other distilleries across the UK and beyond to join in by showcasing the daily grind and the amazing people behind every drop of their unique spirits.
Why are we doing this?
With the ‘Actually Made In’ campaign, we aim to not only elevate the presence of craft distilleries & their associated brands, but also contribute to the movement of supporting local businesses through the cost of living crisis. We want to encourage consumers to think about where spirits come from, and consider craft distilleries when making purchase decisions. Most of all, we want to shine a light on other distilleries and their people who are in the daily grind, crafting amazing spirits day in, day out.
How can you get involved?
We want as many other craft distilleries as possible to join us in shouting about where their spirits are actually made. Share interviews with your teams and distillers, show us behind the scenes photos and videos, tell us your story, showcase your craft products & how you make it, introduce us to who makes it, share links to your tours and your gin schools!
If you’re as proud as we are of our industry, and of how and where you make your spirits, then we invite you to show us your distillery, your people, your home. Use the hashtag #ActuallyMadeIn and tell us where you are from! We are #ActuallyMadeIn Manchester, and we’re proud of it.
