It started with a love story and a single (double) G&T in a rum bar. Seb asked Jen if he could buy her a drink and from the first “yes”, a love blossomed. A love not just for each other, but for food, drinks and hospitality. When they started their award-winning dining room distillery in 2016, they had no idea the heights the business would reach in just a few short years. Now, The Spirit of Manchester Distillery operates as a state-of-the-art distillery capable of producing more than one million bottles a year; a world-class cocktail bar & restaurant; and an award winning distillery tour and gin making experience in the heart of the city. At the Spirit of Manchester Distillery we have a long-term vision to be more transparent and sustainable in all that we do. We are upping our commitment to sustainability. On our journey to reach carbon neutrality, we have been exploring options for low carbon bottles and alternate packaging. Alongside the global commitment to become Net Zero by 2050 and Manchester’s mission to become carbon neutral by 2038, we are working towards becoming Net Zero (scope 1, 2 and 3) by 2025.
